Surviving and Overachieving

There is a huge difference between surviving and overachieving! This is usually for people in sports and when you are in a sport you want to be an overachiever. A survivor is someone who does the bare minimum in the practices and just tries to survive the practice. They do not work hard therefor not helping themselves get better. I have to admit I have been a survivor in a couple of practices, but I regret it. When your a survivor you practice as if you dont even wanna be there. This is terrible because how are you gonna get better at the sport if you do not wanna be there. My reccomendation is when you are doing a sport dont be a survivor because you are hurting your team, yourself, and you are just wasting your time. An overachiever is someone who battles through practice. Someone who pushes themself to the limit to get better. Someone who ask questions on how to get better. Someone who tries their hardest even when the coach isn't looking. The overachievers are the ones that become better at the sport and the ones that learn more in a day than the survivors do in a week. The overachiever is something everyone wants to be. This is because lets say you are the best at you position but you start practicing like a survivor. Then you notice there is someone working their butts off and you are getting worse. Then eventually the overachiever may end up taking your spot.
