Gaining Weight
To gain weight you must eat a lot much more than you usually do. Also you need more that just breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You need 8-10 meals a day. This means eating less than you would on your normal meals but eating more frequently. This will help you gain weight because you are never really going to be hungry. So you will never have the problem of losing weight or staying at the same weight. Eat meals with protein this will give you mass. If you workout with this diet you will gain weight and get pretty big in muscle size. Just remember from previous blogs that when you are trying to gain weight in the gym you have to do more weight less reps. For your last meal you should try to eat right before you sleep. Eat something fattening for you last meal like a peanut-butter jelly sandwich. The one thing that you do not want to do when you are trying to gain weight is eat fast food. This may seem like a smart idea since fast food is fattening, but you are just gonna get fat and unhealthy. When I say gaining weight I mean like getting thicker not fat. Drink a lot of fluids try to stay away from sodas because they are just fattening and and not a healthy way to go if your trying to gain weight properly. Weight that you will be able to keep on.

I understand why many people would want to gain weight, but I do not think that it is necessary to do so. In actuality, all this does is give you poor eating habits that you will most likely carry on into your adulthood. This is a bad thing because as you get older your metabolism slows down, so therefore you are not able to eat fatty foods that are high in carbs without gaining weight that just turns to fat. It is important to keep healthy eating habits as teenagers especially in order to prevent weight problems when you are older. For the most part, I do not agree with your blog post. I think that kids need to be less worried about gaining weight, even if they are skinny, because it is just something that will come naturally as you continue to mature into an adult. Eating a lot and making poor food choices is not the way to go. I think this is something that we all have to consider. Just my opinion though. Thanks for listening.
ReplyDeleteI also understand why people want to gain weight, but it's not always good. For some sports, it is very useful, like football. For others, though, you only become slower, clumsier, and almost stiff. But it just depends on one's situation.
ReplyDeleteStruggling with under weight can be detrimental to any sport you play. Gaining just the right amount of weight can slow you down but it can also give you an advantage over smaller players in a sport.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that many people should actually want to gain weight. Of course you will be a lot bigger when it comes to sports, but it's also not very healthy to be huge.
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting because most diets tell you to eat fewer portions and more meals to lose weight. Now I do not know what the truth is. However, I do understand eating a fatty meal before bed would get you bigger considering you’re not burning off the calorie like you would if you were walking around. I'm guessing the sport you would want to get bigger is in wrestling to move up or stay in the weight class you want. I don’t see how you can run with an extra thick body.
