How to Try to Avoid Injuries
Injuries can happen anywhere and at anytime. In the gym there are many ways to avoid injuries. One of the best ways to avoid it is by having a partner to workout with. Partners are essential for when you are working out at the gym. For example when you are benching you need someone to spot you from behind just in case you are failing with the weight. This way the bar cant land on your chest or even worse your neck when you are failing. Another way to prevent injuries is by stretching. Some people might say that stretching is unnecessary but trust me it is not. Why do you think every sport stretches before they compete? If you work out without stretching you are asking for problems. Some people are ignorant and don't stretch and say they don't need to but eventually they are going to face an injury just because they don't want to spend an extra 5 minutes to stretch. Stretching allows the muscle to get loose progressively instead of going straight to working out with heavy weight when your muscles are tight and not warmed up. Also when you stretch you are able to get a better work out.

I agree with you that stretching is extremely essential. It only takes a few minutes and it can actually be relaxing. I learned to warm up with stretching and after my work out to stretch again to avoid any tightness and extra fatigue. Stretching makes my muscles warm and easy to start moving, I don’t see how you can just jump into physically activity without stretching, it’s crazy! That’s like jumping into a pool without testing the water.
